This chapter relates some of the 9-month interaction data to mothers' perceptions of their infants as generally of Difficult or Easy temperament. Because temperament data were not collected from the two groups of deaf mothers, this discussion includes only hearing mothers, groups deaf (Hd) and hearing (Hh).
