This chapter discusses research librarian Rhonda Oziel's experience in her battle with ovarian cancer, highlighting her search for more information about her condition and the active role that she played in managing her treatment. Oziel taught her family the importance of knowledge and advocacy, and also had the opportunity to address the medical students at George Washington University (GWU) Medical School. The chapter provides the text of this address, which was delivered in March 2001.
