The exercises in this section deal with the questions that should be asked before deciding to apply the results of epidemiological studies in practice, whether in individual health care or in community health care. These refer to the accuracy with which the results are known, their validity, their relevance to a specific individual, group, or community, the effects to be expected if the epidemiological findings are applied in practice, and the feasibility and cost of the application. A self-test concludes the section.
