In the field of psychology, one is always interested in the factors that stir up different emotional behavior, such as anger, jealousy, and compassion. This chapter aims to discover the sentiments behind humanitarian efforts behind the background of compassion. This chapter suggests however, that politics and humanitarian efforts can become conflicts if not handled properly, as politics may cause personal intentions to waver and an individual may become focused on personal intentions. Discussions are taken from most of the Dalai Lama's teachings and doctrines, taking into account the purity in mind when executing compassion.
