‘Towards an economics of Domesday England’ is the concluding chapter of the interpretative section (Part I) of the book. (Part II discusses the economic and statistical methods.) It surveys what has been achieved, together with what further work might be undertaken in the future to extend this new view of the Anglo‐Norman economy.
