The appeal to history has been a traditional element in Christian apologetics; Christianity has been said to be ‘an historical religion’. But the historical character of the Bible has continued to create problems for many, and to have an effect on thinking about medical, social, and other universal questions.
Oxford Scholarship Online requires a subscription or purchase to access the full text of books within the service. Public users can however freely search the site and view the abstracts and keywords for each book and chapter.
