Abstract

This book not only introduces the general reader to twenty of the lesser‐known figures of the sixteenth‐century Reformation but it also outlines the theological issues they debated. It divides the reformers into four confessional families – Catholic, Lutheran, Reformed, and Radical – with chapters devoted to five representatives from each family. Every chapter introduces a theological problem as well as an engaging figure.
