Firms and Industries
This final chapter begins with surveys of two industries – once hugely successful, recently in serious decline – the Lloyd's insurance market and the British horse racing industry. It continues with a discussion of the decline of Saatchi and an examination of the retail financial services industry. It concludes by exploring two generic issues for all firms and all industries; namely what the core businesses are and when there is a need for consolidation.
