January 2009 – Law, and Social Work - NEW to Oxford Scholarship Online

Oxford University Press is pleased to announce that, as of January 2009, Oxford Scholarship Online offers access to new books in Law, and Social Work.

The market-leading academic Law list at Oxford has a strong tradition of developing exceptional work across the full breadth of legal scholarship. The publications range from the foundations of legal history and philosophy to analytic and comparative work on legal doctrine and empirical research on law in modern society. The award-winning Social Work list at Oxford reflects the wide range of the field and the depth of its growing body of research. Strengths in broad areas of the discipline, such as child welfare and mental health, are supported by particular focus on research methods and evidence-based practice. These new subject collections follow Music books in May 2008 and the major expansion in September 2007 which added Biology, Business and Management, Classical Studies, History, Mathematics, Linguistics, Literature, Physics and Psychology. Now, with the original subjects - Economic and Finance, Philosophy, Political Science and Religion, the total number of subject collections available in Oxford Scholarship Online is 16.

Oxford Scholarship Online is available for a one-time purchase fee or by annual subscription to institutions and individuals worldwide, either as a complete collection or on a per subject collection basis.

At least 400 new titles across all 16 subjects will be available online each year.
