Abstract: This final chapter draws conclusions about the author's aims with writing this book and whether they have been fulfilled. It goes through the chapters one by one setting out the aims and conclusions of each. The book's aim has been to illustrate and discuss how the truth/fulfillment theories are related to the project of giving a compositional meaning theory, to discuss a variety of proposals Davidson has made about handling recalcitrant portions of natural languages, and to propose in some areas solutions to what have seemed to be still outstanding problems, or problem areas where there is no clear consensus on the right approach.
