Here the book turns to doing, rather than describing, Second Philosophy. In preparation for the philosophy of mathematics in Part IV, Part III takes up the question of the nature of logical truth. In this chapter, several naturalistic possibilities are surveyed and critiqued: psychologism, empiricism, conventionalism and analyticity. This sets the stage for a distinctive second-philosophical account. Keywords:analyticity,
