Quassim Cassam
Abstract: Quassim Cassam investigates the relation between a priori truths on the one hand and rationalist and empiricist positions on the other. He argues that we obtain a clearer understanding of the distinction between rationalism and empiricism as well as a more refined conception of a priori truths if we do not regard the question of whether there exist such truths as the dividing line, but rather concentrate on the different explanations with those respective positions for the existence of such truths.

Keywords: a priori truths, Quassim Cassam, empiricism, explanation, rationalism,
