Abstract: The Universe is governed by very simple laws of nature which exist (together with the boundary conditions of the universe) to produce humans. God may be expected to produce a universe like this because of the goodness of humans; but it is immensely unlikely that mere chance would produce such a universe. Although Darwinian evolution is part of the explanation of the existence of humans, its own operation requires explanation, ultimately provided by God.
