Abstract: All the divine properties follow from one essential property of having pure limitless intentional power. An individual with this property will be metaphysically necessary. Aquinas was right to hold that what binds the divine properties together was causal power, and not – as Anselm held – being the greatest conceivable being. A divine individual is simple and does not have thisness.
