Abstract: This concluding chapter attempts to draw out the general lessons of causal and interventional principles for an understanding of people, their situations, their problems, and solutions to their problems. Topics discussed include the role of causal models in how the mind works, fundamental claims of the causal modelling framework, what causal models can contribute to human welfare, and the causal modelling metaphor.
