Abstract: Defends a collection of sufficient conditions for compatibilist autonomy. The conditions include ideal self-control, mental health, the absence of compelled and coercively produced motivational states, the absence of a certain kind of deception, and the agent's being a reliable deliberator. It is shown how various incompatibilist objections featuring manipulation or mind control can be overcome.
