Abstract: This chapter analyzes how IBM's e-learning experiences compare with other corporations. It compares how e-learning is developed, implemented, and how effectiveness is measured. IBM and other corporations have aspects of e-learning that they excel in as well as areas that may require further enhancements. Their experiences and lessons learned in corporate e-learning should serve as an important guide to those who are implementing e-learning. However, there is no one size that fits all. The key ingredients for a successful e-learning program can be met in different ways, depending on the nature of the organizations, their business environment, available resources, and the extent of applicability of e-learning.
