Abstract: Describes the Great Crashes in these cities in 1720. The great financial crashes of the Mississippi Company in Paris and the South Sea in London during 1720 and the way in which Cantillon increased his fortune through his speculations are outlined. John Law attempted to invite Cantillon back to France to assist him in his attempt to sustain the Mississippi System.
